Koki Tamagoyaki | Best Choux Puff Ever?

Product Verdict: Yes, it's worth it.

Tamagoyaki (卵焼き or 玉子焼き, literally "grilled egg", also called tamago or dashimaki) is a type of Japanese omelette, which is made by rolling together several layers of cooked egg. These usually are prepared in a rectangular omelette pan called a makiyakinabe.

We were not there for the grilled egg because we already had our lunch. (What a bummer) But that is not going to stop us from having desserts! People always say
"There's always space for desserts."

We headed down to Raffles Shopping Centre just to 'walk-walk' and we recalled that food bloggers had shared about choux puff.

Choux pastry, or pâte à choux (pronounced: [pɑt a ʃu]), is a light pastry dough used to make profiteroles, croquembouches, éclairs, French crullers, beignets, St. Honoré cake, quenelles, Parisian gnocchi, dumplings, gougères, chouquettes, craquelins and churros. It contains only butter, water, flour and eggs. Instead of a raising agent, it employs high moisture content to create steam during cooking to puff the pastry. The pastry is used in many European and European-derived cuisines.

Frankly speaking, we had a little trouble looking for the store from City Hall MRT station.

Look at it ooze.. Our first try was back in 10 June 2017, and we felt in love instantaneously. There were so much 'feelings'.

They offered 4 different flavours (Matcha, Coffee, Black Sesame and Vanilla, sometimes Strawberry!) and the cost per choux puffs SGD $4.30. Yes, it's a damage to our wallets (and heart) for a puff but we could certainly reassure you that you're paying a quality food.

Will i buy again? YES
